Week 3 CIS363

In week 3 of the course project I was tasked with designing my page template. Prior to creating the template for the design of my page I visited other daycare websites to gain a better understanding of how their pages were designed. I decided to split the navigation bar of my page and place link buttons to what I felt was the most important pages were in the header. I also decided to use the hover and active effect to help end users better navigate my site. Though it is not displayed in the picture when you hover over the navigation bar the background color changes to white and when you hover of the link buttons for Enrollment and Curriculum in the header the background color changes to green. Being a newbie to webdesign I had to overcome many challenges to create a simple webpage layout. To supplement course material I used W3Schools.com and YouTube to gain a better understanding of what I needed to do format my page. I learned lots this week and look forward to learning more.
